Deep Roots Music Cooperative invites submissions for our Emerging Artists Program 2011. Young artists will have the chance to take a realistic look into what it takes to succeed in the industry. Many of the province's top industry professionals will present workshops on many of the unique areas of the music industry such as: marketing and promotion; getting played and getting paid on the radio; booking concerts, festivals, and other events; recording; applying for grants: free money from the government, and more!

Presented at the Festival each September, the Valley Arts Award recognizes someone who is, or has been, a resident, has worked for the development and/or promotion of Valley artists, arts events, and/or culture; and has made a significant long-term contribution to the arts in the Valley. Nominations for the 2011 award are now being accepted.
Nominations should be in the form of a letter or e-mail outlining the contribution the individual has made to the cultural life of the region.
